Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant one bonus increment to the petitioner for completing more than 30 years of service in the post of Driver as per the G.O.Ms. 234, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 01.06.2009 and G.O.Ms.No. 303, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 11.10.2017 and accordingly fix the petitioner's pay and pension and grant arrears with all benefits.

ORDER
The writ petition is filed for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant one bonus increment to the petitioner for completing more than 30 years of service in the post of Driver as per the G.O.Ms. 234, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 01.06.2009 and G.O.Ms.No. 303, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 11.10.2017 and accordingly fix the petitioner's pay and pension and grant arrears with all benefits.
2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner has made a requested to the respondents to grant one bonus increment to him for completing more than 30 years of service in the post of Driver as per the G.O.Ms. 234, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 01.06.2009 and G.O.Ms.No. 303, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 11.10.2017. But till date, the respondents have not considered his request. Hence, he has filed the instant writ petition before this Court.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice to direct the first respondent to consider the representation dated 12.05.2021 of the petitioner and pass orders within the time fixed by this Court.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case as well the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the representation dated 12.05.2021 of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
