..Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, call for the entire records on the file of the 5th respondent herein dated 13.03.2002 made in his proceedings AAM/CARGO/3219/2002/5650, quash the same and direct the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.8,92,142.52 together with interest at 18% per annum from July 1988 till repayment along with compensation of Rs.10,00,000/-, by issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus.

When the matter was called on 21.12.2016 and 11.07.2017, learned counsel for the petitioner represented that he has given change of Vakalat to the petitioner in the year 2008 itself. Therefore, the Registry was directed to print the name of the petitioner on the next hearing.

2.When the matter is taken up today, there is no representation for the petitioner, even though his name is printed in the cause list. Thus, it is clear that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the matter. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
