O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 16.10.2015 against the named person in the complaint.

2. The petitioner is residing in her parents house. The petitioner got married on 9.2.2015. The said marriage was an arranged marriage. The marriage was solemnised as per the Hindu rites and customs . At the time of marriage, the petitioner's husband family demanded 50 sovereign of gold jewels and a car. At that time, the petitioner father agreed to give 35 sovereigns of gold and a cash of Rs.3 lakhs . The same was also handed over to the petitioner. After marriage, the petitioner's husband did not live happily with the petitioner. The petitioners' husband and his family members namely, Vadivel, Priya, Palani and Jayanthi started harassing the petitioner and they were harassing and threatening the petitioner frequently. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 16.10.2015. Since no action has been taken so far, the present petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, CSR.No.209/2015 was assigned and petition enquiry is pending.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner in CSR.No.209/2015 and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
