ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police, not to harass the petitioner and his family.
2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondent Police, submitted that the petitioner's presence is required for an inquiry regarding a petition-stage complaint.
3. In view of the submission made, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of on the following terms:- a. The petitioner shall appear before the respondent Police on 13.07.2026.
b. The inquiry shall be completed on the same day. If it cannot be completed, it shall be concluded within one additional working day.
c. Further action may be taken depending on the outcome of the
inquiry.
d. The respondent Police shall not repeatedly summon the petitioner under the guise of an inquiry.
