The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission to conduct cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of Sri Chamundeeswari Temple festival, Pazhaiya Vaniyambadi Village, Devasthanam Post, Vaniyambadi Taluk, Tiruppattur District scheduled to be held on 26.05.2023 between 06.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2023.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct the cultural programme on 26.05.2023 between 06.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. in Sri Chamundeeswari Temple festival, Pazhaiya Vaniyambadi Village, Devasthanam Post, Vaniyambadi Taluk, Tiruppattur District, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 04.05.2023 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.05.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
