ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on execution of Non-bailable warrant on 24.02.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 384, 297 and 506(ii) of IPC read with Section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act in S.C. No.481 of 2025 on the file of the learned Additional District Sessions Judge No.IV, Ponneri, seeks bail.

2. According to the prosecution, the petitioner is facing trial for the offences under Sections 294(b), 384, 297 and 506(ii) of IPC read with Section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act in S.C. No.481 of 2025 on the file of the learned Additional District Sessions Judge No.IV, Ponneri. Due to the non-appearance of the petitioner, NBW was issued against him on 05.11.2025 and he was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on execution of NBW on 24.02.2026.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this is the case of jumped bail and NBW was ordered against the petitioner on 05.11.2025 and he was remanded to judicial custody on 24.02.2026 and he is ready and willing to co-operate for trial and hence prayed to enlarge him on bail.

4. However, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner has 16 previous cases in his credit and he is not co-operating for trial and hence prays to dismiss the petition.

5. I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side.

6. From the submission of the learned Government Advocate, this Court could able to see the seriousness of the issue and therefore, this Court is of the firm view that it is not an appropriate stage to consider the bail application filed by the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 21-04-2026 MJS Note:
