ORDER
The Writ petitioner was holding the post of Woman SubInspector in Prohibition Enforcement Wing. On account of certain allegations regarding unauthorized absence, she was removed from service vide order dated 31.07.2015 passed by the Joint Commissioner of Police, North Zone, Chennai Police. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would contend that the writ petitioner preferred a statutory appeal before the 2nd respondent as against the order passed by the 1st respondent on 14.09.2015 and thereafter, sent two remainders on 08.08.2016 and on 01.07.2017 to the Appellate Authority. Inspite of this, no decision is taken on the appeal. Thus, he prayed that it is suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the appeal to take a decision. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accordingly, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the statutory appeal preferred by the writ petitioner on 14.09.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

The writ petitioner is directed to send a copy of the appeal along with the order passed in this Writ Petition. 5.
The writ petition stands disposed of. However, no order as to costs.
