Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the application dated, 12.05.2020 for amendment in the Environment Clearance granted to the petitioner on 27.06.2013 for the modification done in the construction of A, B, C & EWS Towers in the land comprised in Survey No.7/3, 12/2A & 3A at Egattur Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District, which is within the limit permitted in the Environment Clearance dated 27.06.2013. ORDER

(The Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J) The Writ Petition is heard through video conferencing.

2. Heard Mr.R.Saravanakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.U.Chandrasekaran, learned Special Panel Counsel appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition, seeking a direction to the respondent to consider his application dated 12.05.2020 for amendment in the Environment Clearance granted to the petitioner on 27.06.2013.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would state that it would suffice, if a suitable direction is issued to the respondent to pass orders on the application of the petitioner.

5. The learned Special Panel Counsel appearing for the respondent would state that the respondent is ready to consider and pass orders on the application of the petitioner in accordance with law.

6. In the light of the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition and the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 12.05.2020 and pass orders in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
