This petition is filed to direct the second respondent to register the FIR based on the petitioner's complaint dated 28.11.2015.

2. The petitioner lodged a complaint as against one Mookan stating that he assaulted the petitioner by pulling her saree and hair and also kicked on her stomach. She took treatment in the hospital as outpatient. Thereafter, she lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 28.11.2015. Since no action was taken, the present petition has been filed.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint only by post and if a fresh copy of the complaint is given to the 2nd respondent police in person, necessary action will be taken.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh complaint to the 2nd respondent police and on receipt of the same, the 2nd respondent police is directed to conduct an enquiry and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
