ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to issue a correct death certificate of the petitioner's mother namely Sevanammal, wife of Pandi instead of Sevenammal, wife of Selvakumar in registration No D-2019-33-10680000025 based on the representation dated 24.01.2026.

2. Heard Mr.Elayaraj Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. At the outset, learned Government Advocate for respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026 would be considered by appropriate authority in accordance with law, within a time period to be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the above, taking into consideration the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to second respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026, on its own merits, keeping in view the recommendations dated 24.01.2026 and 27.01.2026 made by the

Village Administrative Officer and the Revenue Inspector and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
