ORDER
(made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Heard Mr. T. Sivagnanasambandan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R. Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

Unable to withstand the sweltering weather which is on the rise year by year, the petitioner has addressed a representation dated 11.05.2024 to the respondents, wherein, he had made a request to them not to drive away the visitors to the beaches and parks in the Chennai city during late nights, till the intensity of heat gets decreased and at any rate, at least, till the 30th instant. Seeking early disposal of the said representation, this writ petition has been filed as a public interest litigation.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2024 purely on its own merits and pass orders on the same in accordance with law.
This writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
