Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a Cultural program schedule to be held on 14.06.2016 "Shri Gengaiamman Temple" at Agaram Village, Tholapalli Post, Mathanur Via, Ambur Taluk, Vellore District by considering the petitioner representation dated 08.06.2016.

By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims to be the resident of Agaram Village, Tholapalli Post, Mathanur Via, Ambur Taluk, Vellore District and also the Organizer of the Temple festival of Shri Gengaiamman Temple at the very same place and he submitted an application/ representation dated 08.06.2016 to the respondent praying for permission to conduct cultural programme which includes song and dance programme to be held on 14.06.2016 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted, there will https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there in that place and prays for appropriate orders. 4.Per contra, Mr.V.S.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent would submit that since the petitioner has approached this Court at the very last minute, it may not be possible for the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation/ application submitted by the petitioner.
5.This Court has considered the rival submissions. 6.This Court in the light of the facts and circumstances is of the view that, since the petitioner has approached this Court at the very last moment, there cannot be any direction directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the application/ representation submitted by the petitioner dated 08.06.2016, by tomorrow (14.06.2016). However, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to submit one more application/ representation to the respondent to conduct the cultural programme which includes song and dance programme in connection with the temple festival to be held on future date and the respondent, on receipt of the same, is directed to consider and dispose of the said application/ representation in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of such application/ representation and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
