Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 18.05.2019. ORDER

Mr.V.C.Selvasekaran, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition seeking direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 18.05.2019.

3. According to the petitioner, he is a self employed person running a tea stall at Azhwarpet, Chennai for the past 30 years and there is no disturbance to the general public and for the free flow of traffic. The petitioner would further state that the respondents are trying to interfere with the running of his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

business, hence, he submitted a representation to the second respondent on 18.05.2019 seeking permission to continue his Tea Stall. However, the same has not been considered and hence, the present Writ Petition.

4.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that they would consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law.

5. In the light of the above facts and submissions, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.05.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
