By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner would state that he is in possession of 48 acres of land at Mallankuzhi Village, Thalavadi Taluk and doing agricultural activities. The petitioner would further state that he is also a partner of Vetri Vilas, Karur, Vetri Ganapathy Finance Companies, Blue Mountain Finance at Kodaikanal, Cheran Finance Limited at Salem, Shri Selvavinayagar Finance at Namakkal and Sun Capitals Finance at Pollachi and in connection with the business activities he used to carry cash for the purpose of depositing the same in Bank/ paying it to the suppliers and therefore apprehending danger, he submitted an application dated 26.05.2015 to the second respondent praying for necessary permission to possess a gun licence and it was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
rejected. The petitioner challenging the legality of the order filed appeal before the first respondent on 21.04.2016 and since the said appeal has not yet been disposed of and the threat or apprehension expressed to the life of the petitioner continues, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Pavendhan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4.This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for and without entering upon the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal memorandum dated 21.04.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. 5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
