Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders within a time frame on the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2015 regarding re-appointment as Shop Salesman in the retail venting shop of TASMAC Ltd. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner was appointed as Salesman in the services of the respondent/Corporation through Employment Exchange, vide proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 17.02.2004 and he was allotted to work in Shop No.674 at Door No.5, East Jones Road, Saidapet, Chennai-15. The petitioner would claim that he is the native of Villupuram District and was residing permanently at Nagakuppam village, Chinna Salem Taluk, Villupuram District and on account of the said appointment, he left his family and joined the duty at Chennai and subsequently, made a representation for his transfer to Villupuram District on account of family circumstances and it was not considered. The petitioner was also affected with Jaundice and he did not recover in spite of taking Siddha treatment and proceeded to Kerala State and underwent medical treatment and he gradually recovered and he sought to re-join duty at Chennai District. The authorities did not pass any orders. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.07.2015 requesting either to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

appoint him as Salesman or permit him to re-join the duty and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Muthuraj, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 04.07.2015 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
