Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to produce the body of the detenue namely baby Shalini daughter of Anandhan, aged about 19 years before this Court and to set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.,] (1)Heard both sides.

(2)The detenue Baby Shalini has been produced before us. She is aged 19 years. She states that she is not under the illegal detention of any person.

(3)The learned counsel for the petitioner points out that the boy in this case is aged only 18 years and that he has no regular means of livelihood and the girl's future will be doomed.

(4)All that the petitioner wants is that her daughter should complete her studies. But the detenue asserts that ''she does not want to talk to her mother''.

(5)We cannot help the petitioner in this case. (6)The Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
