ORDER

This writ petition has been filed praying for direction to the respondents de-freeze the petitioner's bank account (No. 20100077184701) lying with the second respondent. 2.

The petitioner is holding bank account (No.20100077184701) with the second respondent. While being so, at the request made by the first respondent in order to mark as a lien to the tune of Rs.14,921/-, the second respondent froze the bank account of the petitioner.

On instruction, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that insofar as the first respondent is concerned, transaction amount is nearly Rs.46,000/- and Rs.14,921/- has been marked as a lein. That apart, there are nearly 45 complaints from the states all over India. 4.

Though notice was served on the second respondent and name was printed in the cause list, no one on behalf of the second respondent appeared before this Court either by party or through pleader.

In view of the submission of the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu(Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent, the second respondent is directed to withhold a sum of Rs.14,921/- and permit the petitioner to operate his bank account (No.20100077184701) on condition that no complaint or request is received from any other Cyber Crime Branch all over India. 6.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
