Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 herein to conduct an enquiry based on the communication dated 14.01.2026 and to issue revised Joint Patta in favour of the petitioner & others in Patta No.1242 in respect of the land situated in new S.No:220/2A in Palagacherry Village, Vanapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District, thereby removing the name of 7th respondent, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the second respondent to conduct an enquiry based on the petitioner's representation seeking for cancellation of patta No.1242 standing in the name of the seventh respondent and for issuance of revised joint patta in favour of the petitioner and others for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondent Nos.1 to 6. Since no adverse orders are passed against the seventh respondent, notice to the seventh respondent is 2/6
dispensed with by this Court.
3. Based on the petitioner's representation, as stated supra, the second respondent has already initiated proceedings. Therefore, no prejudice will be caused to any of the parties if a direction is issued to the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation seeking for cancellation of patta standing in the name of the seventh respondent for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition and for issuance of revised joint patta in favour of the petitioner and others for the very same property, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of the seventh respondent and any other third party whom the second respondent deem fit to enquire within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
4. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation, dated 26.11.2025 seeking for cancellation of patta standing in the name of the seventh 3/6
respondent for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition and for issuance of revised joint patta in favour of the petitioner and others for the very same property after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of the seventh respondent and any other third party whom the second respondent deem fit to enquire within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
