O R D E R

This petition is filed to direct the third respondent police to take appropriate action on the complaint dated 28.11.2015 made by the petitioner by registering an FIR.

2. The petitioner is an agriculturist by profession, on 28.11.2015 at about 11 'O' Clock, one Egambaram, S/o Murugan, and others trespassed into the petitioner's house with wooden logs and knife and scolded him as to how he can support their enemies and assaulted him with the said weapons. The petitioner sustained severe injuries on his head. The petitioner was taken Chettinad Hospital, Kelampakam. On the same day, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the 3rd respondent police. complaint lodged on 28.11.2015, no action was taken so far. Hence, the present petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that C.S.R.No.28/2015 was assigned on the complaint given by the petitioner and the matter is pending enquiry.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the 3rd respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner in C.S.R.No.28/2015 and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
