Prayer: These Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent herein to receive the applications of the petitioner dated 14.04.2016, in Form CCPA and the prescribed fee for the grant of a Auto Rickshaw Permit and to consider the same and to pass orders in accordance with Law.
For Petitioners : Mr.S.Govindraman For Respondents : Mr.S.Diwakar Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER Heard Mr.S.Govindraman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, and Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Special Government Pleader, accepting notice on behalf of respondents, and with their consent, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners have filed these Writ Petitions praying for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to receive their Applications made for grant of Auto Rickshaw permits and to consider the same and pass appropriate orders.
3. The learned counsel for petitioners submitted that there is a need for more Auto Rickshaws on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their Permits.
4. In any event, as the petitioners' Applications have not been received by the second respondent, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioners, there will be a direction to the second respondent to receive the petitioners individual Applications, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date on which the Applications are presented, along with the copy of this order.
5. The Writ Petitions are disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
