O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This petition has been filed for relaxation of the condition imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.5016 of 2020 dated 04.03.2020, that the petitioner shall stay at Theni and report before the Theni Town Police Station, daily at 10.30 a.m until further orders.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been regularly complying with the condition imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.5016 of 2020 on 04.03.2020, till 23.03.2020 and thereafter, due to old age and Covid-19 pandemic situation, he was unable to comply with the condition and hence, he prayed for relaxation of the said condition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that initially, the petitioner has been complying with the condition from 09.03.2020 to 23.03.2020 and thereafter, he has not complied the condition.

Considering the above submissions, the condition imposed as against the petitioner by this Court in Crl.O.P No.5016 of 2020 dated 04.03.2020, is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m for a period of two weeks and thereafter, as and when required.

Accordingly,this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
