The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 3(2)(a), 4(1) and 5(1)(a) of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 in Crime No.127 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant Mr.Shanmugam is a Police Constable belonging to the respondent police station while he was on duty on 09.04.2022, one Srinivasan approached the defacto complainant and introduced him as a Manager of Grace Guest House and took the defacto complainant to the Lodge by inducing him for sexual act with women for Rs.4,500/- and negotiated the terms for indulging in the act of prostitution.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the the defacto complainant Mr.Shanmugam is a Police Constable belonging to the respondent police station while he was on duty on 09.04.2022, one Srinivasan approached the defacto complainant and introduced him as a Manager of Grace Guest House and took the defacto complainant to the Lodge by inducing him for sexual act with women for Rs.4,500/- and negotiated the terms for indulging in the act of prostitution.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both counsel, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
