..Respondent(s) To directing the Subordinate Judge at Salem to conduct a day-today basis trial in O.S.No.618 of 2020 pending before the Sub Ordinate Judge at Salem and dispose the suit within a stipulated time frame fixed by this Honble Court as expeditiously as possible and further pass such other orders or suitable orders and thus render justice.

Order When the matter was taken up for consideration today, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the suit has been pending on the file of the trial Court for more than five years without any substantial progress. Though trial had commenced in November 2024, the defendants have not cooperated for the purpose of cross-examination.

2. In view of the prolonged pendency and lack of progress, this Court deems it appropriate to issue necessary directions for expeditious disposal.

3.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. The trial Court is directed to dispose of the interlocutory application within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The trial Court shall also conduct a joint trial along with O.S. No. 618 of 2020, if the same arises out of connected issues. The defendants are directed to extend full cooperation for the completion of trial, particularly for cross-examination, without seeking unnecessary adjournments. No costs.
