This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register an FIR on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 28.06.2015, investigate the matter and file a final report.

2. The petitioner is residing at No.48/55, Kasi Garden 1st Street, Kasimedu, Royapuram, ,Chenai-600 013, One K.Ramesh Babu, who is running a Unibag manufacturers at Kandankollai, Vepambattu Police, Thiruvallure District, approached the petitioner and borrowed hand loan from him for a sum of Rs.6 lakhs. Subsequently, he paid only Rs.1 lakh and did not repay the balance amount. When the petitioner asked to repay the balance amount, he not only refused to repay the amount but also threatened the petitioner along with one Guptha who is the partner of the manufacturing company run by said Ramesh Babu. Hence, a complaint was lodged against them with the respondent police. Since no action was taken till date, the present petition has been filed.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the complaint from the petitioner, C.S.R.No.381/2015 was assigned and the matter is pending enquiry.

4. Since C.S.R number has been assigned , this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry in C.S.R.No.381/2015 and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
