2. The petitioners had worked as Village Administrative Officers and they retired from service. Their service particulars are given as follows:

3. The petitioners would state that they have retired just one day prior to the sanction of next annual increment. Though the petitioners had served one year from the date of last increment and entitled for the same on the next due date, it has not been sanctioned. In this regard, the petitioners submitted a joint representation dated 30.07.2015 to respondents 1 to 4 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 30.07.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioners.
