This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register a case based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 08.10.2015.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint against one Selvam and Raman stating that they took the petitioner's vehicle, namely, Tractor bearing registration No.TN-29-AC-7174 forcibly from his house by attacking him.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has purchased the said vehicle on hire purchase agreement. Since the petitioner has not paid the amount, the vehicle was taken by them. He further submitted that the matter is civil in nature. However, he submitted that on receipt of the complaint from the petitioner, C.S.R. No.323/2015 has been assigned and the matter is pending enquiry.

4. Since C.S.R. number has been assigned , this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry in C.S.R.No.623/2015 and upon enquiry, if the materials are https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
