ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.C.Umashankar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader assisted by Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1, 5 and 6, Ms.Daniel Mary, learned counsel for respondents 2, 4, 8 and 9 and Mr.A.Anandan, learned Government Advocate for the 3rd respondent.

2.The present writ petition is against the notice for disconnection of electricity supply. The enquiry under Section 78 is pending.

3.In case the petitioner has paid all the relevant charges, then the electricity supply may not be disconnected only on the ground that the enquiry under Section 78 is pending. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.14664 and 14665 of 2023 are closed. W.M.P.No.14663 of 2023 filed to permit the petitioners to file a single writ petition is allowed and disposed of, inasmuch as the petitioners have paid separate court fee.
