O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to C.C.No.5832 of 2009 on the file of the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and quash the same.

2.The case relates to the year 2009. The main allegation levelled against the petitioner is that 12 Nos.cell phones of various makes had been stolen from the shop of the de facto complainant.

3.When this matter came up before this Court on 04.01.2017, this Court dismissed the stay petition on the ground that no order has been passed by this Court in the petition right from the year 2011 when the petition was filed and hence there is no point in keeping the petition pending.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed directing the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.5832 of 2009 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
