ORDER
(1)By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.
(2)Mr.K.Raja Srinivas, learned Standing counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.
(3)The petitioner is appearing as a Party-in-person and he is a resident of Thirumalai Street, Jai Balaji Nagar, Chennai 600
078. The petitioner / Party-in-person came forward to file this writ petition, styled as a Public Interest Litigation, stating among other things that respondents 2 and 3 came up with a proposal to lay a foot pathway in the Colony and actually, there is no sufficient space to accommodate 4 feet pathway with a granite tapping. It is also pointed out by the petitioner / Party-in-person by drawing the attention of this Court to the photographs made available in the typed set of documents and would submit that in respect of Mookambikai Street in their Colony, a similar foot pathway was laid even below the TANGEDCO Junction Box and as a consequence, the width of the road got reduced to a very great extent and as a consequence, there is a slow and sluggish movement of traffic.
The petitioner / Party-in-person in this regard, has submitted complaints dated 12.03.2020, 14.03.2020, 16.03.2020, 19.03.2020, 22.03.2020, 04.09.2020 and 08.09.2020 respectively to the concerned officials of the Corporation of Chennai and though the District Revenue Officer of Zone-X of Greater Chennai Corporation sent a reply dated 04.10.2020 stating that the Foot Pathway proposed, would be laid on the mud portions and will not cause nuisance, still the apprehension expressed by the petitioner / Party-in-person is that it would definitely cause hardship and difficulty to the residents and hence, prays for appropriate orders.
(4)The Court heard the submissions of Mr.K.Raja Srinivas, learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.
(5)Though the petitioner / Party-in-person prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner / Party-in-person, either in his representations/complaints or in this writ petition, directs respondents 2 and 3 to consider and dispose of the said representations/complaints on merits and in accordance with law and also in an objective manner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner / Party-inperson.
