This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register a case based on the complaint dated 29.11.2015 given by the petitioner to proceed in accordance with law.
2. The petitioner lodged a complaint as against the owner of the house and vacant land comprised in S.No.373/4 situated at Sellyamman Koil Street, Papparampakkam Village, Thiruvallur District. The accused persons, one Arumugam, Indira, Murali, Karthi, misused the petitioner land by letting the drainage water and threw the liquor bottles in the petitioner's land. When this was questioned by the petitioner, the accused persons trespassed into the petitioner's house and assaulted the petitioner with an iron rod and threw stones. The petitioner suffered serious injuries and was hospitalised. Hence, a complaint was lodged with the respondent police. Since no action was taken so far, the present petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, C.S.R.No.368/2015 was assigned and the petition enquiry is pending and if the petitioner produces the wound certificate, necessary action will be taken.
5. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to give a copy of the wound certificate along with the copy of this order to the respondent police. On receipt of the same, the respondent police is directed to conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner in CSR.No.368/2015 and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.
6. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
