ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) In this writ petition filed by way of a Public Interest Litigation, the petitioner, a resident of Puducherry, has sought orders on the respondents to take appropriate action to close down or alternatively relocate certain liquor shops. It is alleged that the representation made by the petitioner to relocate the liquor shops has not been considered. Learned Additional Government Pleader (Puducherry) submits that the representation of the petitioner shall be considered in accordance with law by respondent No.3. This writ petition is disposed of by directing the Deputy Collector (Excise), being respondent No.3 to dispose of the representation dated 23.2.

2017 appended to the typed set of papers and to take a decision thereon in accordance with law within eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within a fortnight from the date thereof. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
