Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to pay the crop insurance for the year 2016-2017 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.09.2017. Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the fourth respondent to consider the representation dated 22.09.2017, wherein and whereby he sought for sanctioning of the crop insurance for the year 2016-2017.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court, is that the said request has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the fourth respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.09.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the fourth respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
