This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a First Information Report on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 09.07.2015, registered CSR No.888/2015.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the counter petitioner, Saravanan has entered into sale agreement and received an advance amount and thereafter, he did not execute the sale deed. Hence, a complaint has been lodged by the petitioner against the said Saravanan. Since no action has been taken, the present petition has been filed. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted the matter is civil in nature and the petitioner has to work out his remedy before the civil Court. However, he submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, C.S.R.No.888/2015 has been assigned by the respondent Police.

4. Since C.S.R. number has been assigned, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry in C.S.R.No.888/2015 and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
