The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint made in C.No.2423/CB/Visitors/2015 dated 30.09.2015 and file final report within a stipulated time.

The case of the petitioner is that one R.V.Narmatha, who is doing business in the name and style of M/s.India track, had offered to give an attractive interest scheme for the investments made in her business. Believing the words of the said R.V.Narmatha, the petitioner has deposited a huge sum. Initially, the accused has paid the monthly interest for a few months. Thereafter, she stopped to pay the monthly interest and evaded to meet the petitioner. When the petitioner questioned the same, the said R.V.Narmatha threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 28.09.2015. But, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by one of the victim, a case has already been registered in Crime No.138 of 2015. Thereafter, several complaints were received by the respondent police and the petitioner is cited as witness in the said cases.

4. Since a case has already been registered on the basis of the complaint given by one of the victim, the prayer in the present petition has become infructuous. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
