This petition has been filed seeking for police protection to enable the petitioner restore the electricity connection, water connection and drainage connection of his shop.

2. Admittedly, the petitioner is a tenant in the property and there is a landlord - tenant dispute between the parties. The Police cannot interfere in such a dispute and the petitioner has to necessarily workout his remedies only before the appropriate authority/forum in order to redress his grievance for the restoration of amenities. The police cannot play any role and therefore, the relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court.
