Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 24.08.2015 and refix the petitioner's basic pay as per the V and VI Pay Commission consequently grant Monetary benefits from 1998 to the petitioner as per the V and VI Pay Commission.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. The petitioner was appointed as Watchman as last grade employee in the services of Arulmighu Satchi Bhukeeshwarar Temple at Tiruttani, Tiruvellore District.

As per G.O.Ms.No.257 dated 10.06.1998, the Government of Tamil Nadu has refixed the basic pay and allowances of employees of the temple and hence, the petitioner is entitled to the basic pay of Rs.2610-150-3540. But, however, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

said benefit is yet to be conferred on the petitioner and still, the petitioner is in the time scale of pay of Rs.1500-50-2300-55-2630 till the year 2006 and as per the 6th Pay Commission recommendation, the basic pay of the petitioner is to be fixed at Rs.4100-10,000/-. However, the petitioner continues to receive a sum of Rs.2700/- per month with an annual increment of Rs.60/- till date. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 07.07.2015 and 24.08.2015 to the respondents and since no orders have been passed, he came forward to file this writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.V.Dhanapalan, learned Additional Government Pleader [HR&CE] who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, directs the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 07.07.2015 and 24.08.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
