O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b) and 506(ii) of IPC, in Crime No.76 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution as per the de-facto complainant one viz., Murugesan is that while he along with his wife were catching fish in Palar River, the petitioners along with other accused abused and attacked them with deadly weapons and they sustained injury. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implication in this case. Therefore, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioners are habitual offenders. The petitioners along with other accused abused the de-facto complainant and his wife and assaulted with deadly weapons. He would further submit that the first petitioner is concerned he has got 10 previous cases and the second petitioner is concerned has got 4 previous cases against them. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the petitioners being habitual offenders and they have already been involved in many previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 6.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
