Writ Petition is filed challenging the impugned order passed by the respondent in his proceedings in Rc.No.W1/12971/2018, dated 27.06.2018.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher-cum-Warden in the Government High School at Tiruvallur and subsequently, promoted as B.T. Assistant-cum-Warden. When the petitioner was working as Government Backward Class Students Hostel warden at Thiruthani Government College and on 06.04.2018, the respondent passed transfer order transferring the petitioner to the R.K.Pet Government Most Backward Class Students Hostel and the
petitioner joined duty in the said hostel on 07.04.2018. Thereafter, based on the inspection by the Revenue Divisional Officer, on 27.06.2018, the petitioner was suspended on the allegation that he stored 300 rice bags illegally. Challenging the order of suspension, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent has power to suspend the petitioner for pending grave charges. However, the said suspension order was passed on 27.06.2018 and till date, it was not reviewed. He further submitted that this Court may permit the petitioner to make a representation to the respondent for revocation of the suspension order and issue a direction to the respondent to consider the same and pass appropriate orders.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has also conceded the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case as well as the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without interfering with the order of suspension, hereby permits the petitioner to make a representation to the respondent for considering his request. If any such representation is made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
7. The writ petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
