ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

This Writ Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 31.5.2012, and to appoint the petitioner in the post of Cook in Panchayat Union Primary School, M.Puliyagudi, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District.

At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petition, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the process of selection for the post of Cook and Assistant Cook in the Noon Meal Centre of Panchayat Union Primary School, M.Puliyagudi, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, had been completed, during the year, 2012, and therefore, the claim of the petitioner cannot be accepted. He had further submitted that if applications are called for fresh appointments in such posts and it may be open to the petitioner to participate in the said process, if she is found to be qualified.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents, no further orders are necessary in the present Writ Petition. The Writ Petition has become infructuous in view of the fact that the process of selection for the post of Cook and Assistant Cook in the Panchayat Union Primary School, M.Puliyagudi, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District, had been completed during the year, 2012. Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
