petitioner's son detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order, dated 30.05.2022 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceeding Memo C.No.42/G/IS/Tiruppur City/2022, quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's on namely Naveenkumar, S/o.Maheshwaran, aged 25 years before this High Court and set the petitioner's son at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's son detained at Central Prison, Coimbatore.

ORDER

[Made by Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner is the father of the detenu viz., Naveenkumar S/o.Maheshwaran, aged 25 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in C.No.42/G/IS/Tiruppur City/2022 dated 30.05.2022, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in C.No.42/G/IS/Tiruppur City/2022 dated 30.05.2022, on 2/4

the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.4098, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 05.07.2022 and produced a copy of the said order.
