O R D E R

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal in the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2016 within a time frame.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that as against the issuance of patta by the 4th respondent, the petitioner has given a representation to the 3rd respondent, the Revenue Divisional Officer, challenging the same. The learned counsel further submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to treat the representation made by the petitioner as an Appeal and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

4.Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties.

5.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to treat the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2016 as an Appeal and consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
