ORDER
The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to enter the new patta No. 856 (old patta no.186) in the relevant revenue records for the agricultural patta dry lands having a total extent of above 63 cents situated in survey number in No.292 in Village No.9, Vilangadupakkam, Madavaram Taluk, Tiruvallur District and to enter the petitioner's name in the relevant records and issue a copy of patta.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given a representation for the said purpose as early as on 01.07.2015, which was sent by Speed Post to the 2nd respondent, so far, the 2nd respondent has not https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
considered the same and passed orders and hence it would suffice if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the said representation within a time frame.
3. Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2015 in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to the concerned interested parties, if any. with the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
