ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 19.11.2019 seeking compassionate appointment.
The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband served as fireman in the 6th respondent Office. While he was in service, he died on
05.09.2019. In pursuance thereof, the petitioner has submitted an application to the respondents dated 19.11.2019 to consider her for the post of Junior Assistant on compassionate grounds and the said application has not been considered by the respondents for almost 6 years. Hence the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's application seeking compassionate appointment was kept pending on the file of the respondents for the past 6 years. Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's application will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed at the earliest point of time Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deem it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 19.11.2019 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on its own merits and in accordance with law. 7.
In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
