O R D E R
The petitioner, who is the wife of the respondent, has filed the above Civil Revision Petition to direct the II Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai, to dispose of the Original Petition in O.P.No.4037 of 2015, within a stipulated time.
2. The Original Petition in O.P.No.4037 of 2015 was filed by the petitioner to declare the marriage that was registered on 9.4.2014 as a nullity.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner submitted that since the petitioner has sought the relief for declring the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent s a nullity, the Family Court may be directed to dispose fo the Original Petition within a time frame enabling the petitioner to settle down in the life early. The learned counsel further submitted that if the Original Petition is kept pending for a long period, the petitioner would be put to hardship and prejudice.
4. Having regard to the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the II Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the Original Petition in O.P.No.4037 of 2015 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
