O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2020 pending on the file of Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Thirumangalam, Chennai to CBCID, Chennai or some other competent authority. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that initially the case was registered in Crime No.2 of 2020, for the offence under Sections 498 (A) of IPC. On investigation, it is found that there are materials to attract the offence under Section 3(1)(r)(s) of SC and ST (POA) Act and as such the offence was altered to the offence under Section 498 (A) of IPC and 3(1)(r)(s) of SC and ST (POA) Act. Thereby entire case diary has been transferred to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Thirumangalam, Chennai, who has got jurisdiction to try the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2020.

3.Recording the said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the prayer as such sought for by the petitioner to transfer the investigation would not arise and the petition is devoid of merits. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
