ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2023 and grant permission to conduct the cultural program (Adal Padal Nigalchi), schedule to be held on 25.05.2023 from 6 P.M. to 11 P.M., in Sri Tirupati Gangaiyamman Temple situated at Pillaiyar Kuppam, Poigai Village, Sathyamangalam Post, Anaikattu Taluk, Vellore District - 632 114.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct the cultural programme in Sri Tirupati Gangaiyamman Temple situated at Pillaiyar Kuppam, Poigai Village, Sathyamangalam Post, Anaikattu Taluk, Vellore District - 632 114 on 25.05.2023, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 02.05.2023 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent Police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration. 2/4
4. I have considered the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent Police.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.05.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
