Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to consider the representation submitted by the Petitioner dated 05/02/2014 and the subsequent proceedings dated 07/09/2015 and to pass appropriate orders for allowing the Petitioner for re-medical board for eye fitness and to select and appoint the Petitioner to the post of Special Police Youth Brigade (Male) based on the selection conducted by the Respondents in the year 2014 with all consequential and other attendant benefits.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner applied for selection to the post of Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade (Male) Category and according to him, he fulfil all eligibility criteria and also passed the written

examination, based on which he was further selected for Physical Measurement Test and Physical Endurance Test and certificate verification and he has also participated in the same and later on came to know that on account of the medical fitness his claim was not concerned and in this regard, he submitted a representation dated 07.09.2015 stating among other things, he is also physically fit to join the Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner also subjected himself to eye test in the Government Eye Hospital at Egmore, Chennai on 05.02.

2014 and report was given to that effect that his eye sight is excellent and hence, there cannot be any impediment on the part of the respondents to select him to the said post and prays for appropriate orders. 4.Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 5.This Court taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2014 and 07.09.

2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
