Writ Petition , filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, thereby, forbearing the respondents from proceeding further in permitting the liquor vendors to shift their liquor shops back to the National and State Highways as well as in the Highway Roads that are traversing through the commune panchayat limits within the territory of Pondicherry, as it amounts to grave violation of the order of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, dated 15.12.2016. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from proceeding further in permitting the liquor vendors to shift their liquor shops back to the National and State Highways as well as in the Highway Roads that are traversing through the commune panchayat limits within the territory of Pondicherry, as it amounts to grave violation of the order of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, dated 15.12.2016.

The grievance of the petitioner is that, there is a liquor shop located in violation of the direction issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. From the representation given by the petitioner, we find that there is no specific averment for us to issue a direction, but the prayer appears to be a very widely couched prayer.

Thus, we are not inclined to issue any direction based on the petitioner's representation, dated 20.09.2017. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. However, this order will not stand in the way of the petitioner making an appropriate representation with full facts.
