ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to to direct the first respondent police not to harass the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is a 76 year old man and he is a Branch Secretary of Indian Communist Party, residing at Melakondhai Village, Villupuram District has filed this petition.

3. The contention of the petitioner is that the respondent police are harassing and forcing the petitioner to appear for enquiry. On 20.07.2021 during the late hours, one Sub Inspector of Police along with 5 police persons come to the petitioner's house and enquired with regard to Kitcha @ Krishnamurthy, who is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the brother of the petitioner. Therefore he was treated very badly. The petitioner thereafter sent a representation to the second respondent on 27.07.2021 about the high handedness of the first respondent police. Despite the same, the petitioner has been constantly called for enquiry and harassed.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the official respondents submit that the petitioner's brother Kitcha @ Krishnammurthy is involved in Crime No.938 of 2021 for the offences under sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 324, 307 & 506(ii) IPC. Further his brother is involved in 14 other cases which are similar in nature. Hence for the purpose of enquiry, the petitioner is called for. Failing to appear for the enquiry, the petitioner has filed this petition.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner at this juncture submitted that the petitioner is ready to appear before the first respondent police on 09.08.2021.

6. Recording the abovesaid submissions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
