Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondent.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to carry out the correction of the petitioner's son's name as K.V.Sidhanth Sivam, instead of Theerthasri.K.V., in the birth register and consequently direct the respondent to issue a fresh birth certificate.

3. The petitioner has already approached the respondent and made an application on 01.03.2017 and again on 27.04.2017. In support of the said claim, the petitioner also relied on a Gazette Publication made in the Tamilnadu Government Gazette dated 04.05.2016. Therefore, it is for the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's request on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.04.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
